Bonza Bottler Day

Bonza Bottler Day is not a ‘traditional’ holiday. It is a holiday that is celebrated every month. When the day’s date matches the month’s number, that is a Bonza Bottler Day. Several holidays are celebrated on Bonza Bottler Day such as New Year’s Day on January 01 or 01/01, Groundhog Day on February 02 or 02/02 and Veteran’s Day on November 11 or 11/11.

A day is called Bodacious Bonza Bottler Day if the number of the year coincides with the number of the day and month. “Bodacious” means “extraordinary, enormous or impressively great in size.” When a baby was born on Bonza Bottler Day, he or she is known as a Bonza Bottler baby which makes those birthday celebrations doubly special.

This was created by Elaine Fermont on August 08, 1985. She created it when she realizes that there were no special occasions to celebrate every month. She then made this special day that can be celebrated and found an excuse to have a party every month by having fun.

Bottle Day

Elaine Fermont held a contest to name the day. A student from Australia won the contest using an Australian slang “Bonza” meaning “great” and “Bottler” meaning “something excellent.”

The holiday might have an Australian name but it is a worldwide day for fun. The day was first celebrated in Greenville, South Carolina on August 08, 1985.

Bonza bottler Day

The Bonza Bottler day has a mascot, it is a dancing groundhog which has for many years celebrated on February 2. The celebration includes strewing confetti and laughing along with the dancing groundhog while holding the logo “I Celebrate Bonza Bottler Day” for Bonza Bottler Day.

The groundhog mascot’s name is Bonzy. The name Bonzy was submitted by a student from Creston, Iowa named Logan. His teacher Mrs. Laurice Heinzel encourage him and his classmates to enter the contest and submit names for the groundhog. He participated in the contest and won. The organizers of the contest think that Bonzy is a name that most fits the mascot as he represents Bonza Bottler Day to the world.

This holiday has no tradition or ritual, you are free to do whatever you want or however you want to celebrate the holiday. You can be creative and eccentric as how unique the special day is.

Fermont’s desire for creating Bonza Bottler Day is to be a day in every month that friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, students, and all people get together to celebrate life by having a party or at least by making the day happy joyful occasion.

Bonza Bottler Day is the only holiday that can be celebrated twelve times a year. It is a day that is truly great and excellent!
